Visitor Centre

The Book of Deer Project Centre at Aden Country Park is now located within the Heritage Museum itself.  The display is on the first floor in the old School Room and is open at all times when the Heritage Museum is open.  There will usually be a volunteer on Saturday and Sunday afternoons between 1.30 and 4.00 p.m. to help with any queries.  Please come along and visit – we’d be delighted to see you.  Please note, however, that the Heritage Centre is closed during the winter months November to March.

Special visits can be arranged by contacting us at – info@bookofdeer.co.uk.

The Original Centre, situated in the heart of Aden Park was opened with due ceremony in the summer of 2002. 2003 was the first full season. Manned entirely by volunteers at weekends and some weekdays over the Summer, there were about 700 names entered in the visitors book. For most, this was their introduction to the Book of Deer, but there was a sprinkling of more knowledgeable “students”.
